Really Good Emails
Tool type: website
Thereโs a good chance you (and/or your brand) have a mailing list. And thereโs an equally good chance that itโs been a minute since you last dropped them a line.
It can be hard to find time to ping your audience. And what should you write about? Do you need to make graphics to get it live? It can all be rather stressful.
BUT email marketing has been found to be one of the most effective channels in your marketing toolkit.
So instead of pushing that email off another week (or month, or quarterโฆ arrrggghhh), head to ReallyGoodEmails.com and get some much-needed inspo to kick your inner email marketer into gear.
Really Good Emails is a really simple site โ head there and find a bunch ofโฆ you guessed itโฆ really good emails!
Click on any of their examples and you can see some high quality emails from other brands.
Notice, along with generally nice emails, you can also filter by brand category as well as email type.
So if youโre struggling with an abandoned cart email for your ecommerce site, or want examples of solid customer appreciation emails, struggle no more. Filter, browse and get inspired!
Along with pre-built filters, you can also search by keyword.
Really Good Emails isnโt an AI tool - they arenโt going to write your emails for you. But hopefully, theyโll give you the much-needed push you need to find the time to say hey to your audience, whoโs anxiously waiting to hear from you!

StripHTML
Tool type: Web App
Sometimes the simplest tools are the most useful.
Years ago, I had a problem. I was managing a political organizationโs email program. I would write the emails in Google Docs (something I still do all the time). Once Iโd finished the copy, Iโd go through and punch it up. Iโd add bold and italics, subheaders as needed. I wanted the formatting to be as good as the copy.
Then Iโd send it along for approval, deal with any notes and then โ and only then โ would it be ready to send.
Then Iโd head into our CRM and copy and paste the email, with perfect copy and formatting.
I felt good.
BUTโฆ Iโd send myself a test email and my good feelings turned to horror. The perfectly-formatted email Iโd worked so hard on lookedโฆ wellโฆ terrible.
Some of the formatting would be broken. And instead of short spaces between paragraphs, there would be huge blocks of white space. What the heck was going on?!
The answer, it turns out, was quite simple.
Google Docs (and comparable collaboration tools) inject A TON of code into your draft.
That extra coding enables group editing and all kinds of other useful features. But it also bogs down your copy when you paste it into Mailchimp, Constant Contact or whatever your CRM of choice.
The good news: thereโs a simple fix. Copy and paste your text from Google Docs (or wherever) into striphtml.com. And then copy and paste it again and drop it into your CRM. Your bad spacing issues will be no more.
The bad news: Along with getting rid of all that extra spacing, all of your formatting will also be gone. So youโll have to recreate your bold and italicized text before sending.
It takes a few extra minutes, but imho: itโs definitely worth it.
As an email marketer, I can tell you this: there are few feelings worse than seeing your perfectly crafted email arrive in your inbox mangled and broken by unnecessary code.
As far as the site itself - it does one thing and it does it seamlessly.
FREE or FREEmium: FREE!
This web app is totally free to use.
