2 Free Tools From HubSpot You Should Check Out
Make a killer email signature, and create a brand persona... for free!

Today we’re checking out 2 free tools from HubSpot.
If you don’t know HubSpot, they make software for businesses. They also have loads of free resources, including an entire network of podcasts worth checking out (but only if you like free, useful advice to get better at business, marketing and more).

Email Signature Generator

During an issue of Free Digital Tools a little while back, I shared how I use Gmail signatures to customize my signoff based on my audience. (If you missed that issue, check it out here.)
But before you can set up your signatures, you first have to build out something worth using.
Enter HubSpot’s Email Signature Generator.
First you select your template (they have 6 to choose from).
Then fill out your info and stylize it to fit your brand.
You can then add photos, custom CTAs and more.
And voila, just like that, your signature has been created.
It will default to including a link back to HubSpot in your signature, but you can easily turn that off.
Then you can literally copy and paste the whole thing directly into your email platform of choice and save it as a signature.
Easy peasy.

This is a totally free tool from HubSpot. You can create as many signatures as you want. Enjoy!
Make My Persona
Tool type: web app
HubSpot understands the power of understanding your audience. They built a $25+ BILLION business doing so!
So it makes sense they would have a free tool to help you develop your own customer avatar.
Not familiar with the concept of a customer avatar? It’s a “semi-fictional representation of your ideal customer.” Essentially, it helps you determine if your content is on brand. Would “John” or “Valerie” like that post, or find it cringe? Would they get that obscure reference or do you need to rethink your running Saved By The Bell jokes?
HubSpot has a tool to help you better envision your ideal customer, to help answer such questions.
Head here and "click “build my persona.”
Then follow the steps. They’ll ask you to name your persona and choose your avatar.
They’ll prompt you to fill out their demographic traits, the industry they work in, the social networks they use and a whole lot more.
Once you’ve filled this out, you can save it and refer back to it whenever you’re not sure whether or not your content is on brand.
