2 Free Digital Tools To Help You Find What People Are Searching For Online
Neil Patel is a digital marketing master. These are both part of his free tool Answer The Public.

In the meantime, let’s check out some free digital tools.
Neil Patel is a master in the digital marketing space. He runs a massive agency, owns and manages Ubersuggest, pumps out amazing free content and is just a wealth of knowledge in the field.
I had been a fan of the free website Answer The Public for years (more on what it does in a moment). A while back, Neil Patel bought it.
And he and his team have been adding to its capabilities ever since.
So let’s take a look at this fun, helpful free tool.
Answer The Public
Tool type: Web App
First head to AnswerThePublic.com.
Once there, you can “discover what people are asking about…”
Literally.
Type in a one or two word prompt and hit search. I’m going with social media, but you can go with literally anything people search for on Google.
It will then tell you what questions people are using on Google, in relation to that term.
It will break down how many searches people do on the subject, how much it would cost to run Google Ads, and provide a massive list of questions, broken down by question words (are / can / how / what / why…).
You can switch between the wheel, a list and tables.
It will break down for you how often things get searched, provide comparisons to other search terms and a whole lot more.
Why would you want to use this tool?
There are probably lots of reasons, but the main one is for blogging/SEO.
If you are blogging as a way to drive traffic to your site, knowing what questions folks are actually searching for on Google can be a gold mine.
And Answer The Public is standing there waiting to hand you an axe.
FREE or FREEmium: FREEmium
Just like Ubersuggest (a tool I LOVE and use all the time), this one is free for VERY limited usage. Without registering, you can test it out a few times.
But if create a free account (no cc required), you can search up to 3 times per day.
Or you can upgrade and get as many searches as you want.
Plans range from $11 - $199/month BUT Neil loves offer amazing lifetime deals at a 90% discount (I DID take him up on it for Ubersuggest, I have not yet for Answer The Public).
If you go lifetime, you can get loads of access for a one-time fee ranging from $119-$1990, depending on how much data you need.
Answer The Public TikTok
Tool type: Web App
So we’ve all heard how TikTok is becoming a go-to search engine for Gen Z.
Well, Answer The Public knows that, so they expanded from providing data exclusive to Google to also offering data for TikTik (as well as Bing, YouTube and Amazon).
So head back to Answer The Public, switch over to TikTok and type in your keyword(s). Hit search, and now instead of pulling loads of data from Google, they’ll pull loads of data from TikTok.
You can scroll around and see what people are searching for. And if you click on one of the questions, they’ll open up TikTok and show you content in app based on that search term.
A pretty helpful way to see what folks are searching for on the app, when looking for inspo to create your own content!
FREE or FREEmium: FREEmium
Same deal as above. Free for VERY limited search without an account. Free for a few searches a day with a free account. Or you can pay monthly (or buy a lifetime membership) and search as often as you want.
So what are you waiting for: grab that ⛏️ and start mining that gold!
If you like Free Digital Tools, you probably know others who will too. Invite them to join us. They’ll appreciate it… as will I!
See you in a fortnight,
