2 Free AI Tools To Help Move Your Brand Forward
Today's tools will literally come up with names and logos for your business or project.
Hello!
Welcome to the new folks on our list. And welcome back to those of you who have been here for a bit. This little project continues to grow. Help keep the momentum going - forward Free Digital Tools to two people in your network who might appreciate what we’re doing here.
Okay, quick shameless pitch complete. Now on to the tools!
Today’s we’re hopping on the bandwagon and looking at 2 tools that are both fully powered by AI.
Fun? Scary? Annoying? All of the above? You decide!
This newsletter isn’t telling you to fire your creative team (far from it!). Rather, it exists to ensure you know about such tools… should you need them.
Namelix
Tool Type: Website
Namelix is an AI-powered “business name generator.”
You can use it to “generate a short, brandable business name using artificial intelligence.”
Start with keywords.
Then select your style.
You can let it know how “random” you want it to be.
And add in some additional keywords and a slogan.
You can even blacklist words, or skip any names which don’t have available URLs to match them.
The whole process should take about 2 minutes. Give it just a moment and NameLix will work its magic. In no time at all it will pop out a TON of business/project names.
Are the names good? Not really.
Might they be helpful to get your own creative juices flowing? Definitely!
And that’s about the extent to which I would rely on such a tool at the moment. But still worth keeping in your digital toolkit IMHO. 😇
The above was just a short snippet of the names they provided. But I’d love to know if any of them speak to you? If so, maybe I’ll change the name of this humble newsletter! Hit reply and let me know.
FREE or FREEmium: FREE!
This is a totally free tool. If you opt to “register” it simply re-directs you to NameCheap to go and buy your domain. (NameCheap, FWIW, is my go-to spot to buy web domains.)
Brandmark
Tool Type: Website
NameLix is actually a product of Brandmark, which is a comparable product. Instead of giving you a name though, they’ll pump out endless logo concepts for it.
To get started, click “Create my logo.”
Then follow the prompts to give it all the info it needs. First up, name and slogan (if applicable).
Then keywords.
Color style.
And then, in a magically short amount of time, they’ll start spitting out logos.
Will you like any of them? Depends. But, like Namelix, it can be SUPER helpful for inspo.
Some folks thrive starting with a blank sheet of paper. For everyone else, these tools can help to get you started.
FREE or FREEmium: It’s complicated
This tool is completely free to use… if you’re just looking for inspiration. If you want to actually use any of their designs, there are associated fees. They are VERY low (their smallest package is a one-time fee of just $25) but needed to clarify since it’s not completely free.
Okay, we’re officially on the AI bandwagon. But we’ll try to share such tools sparingly, as we at Free Digital Tools still believe in human-powered creativity.
I’ll also mention that there are loads of AI-powered tools that will do both of the above and I haven’t tested all of them. I stumbled upon both of these before ChatGPT was a household name. AI tools will keep getting more powerful, but for now, these two are simple, easy to use, and free (for inspiration, if nothing else).
Hope you enjoyed this issue. Whether you did or you didn’t, hit reply and let me know why.
See you in 2 weeks,
Josh
